D.O.s (Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine)
are fully licensed physicians that can perform surgery
and prescribe medicine, like their M.D. counterparts.
The osteopathic philosophy differs from that of
the M.D.'s in that osteopaths have been trained
to view the body as a whole, with each organ system
connected and reliant on the other systems to create
the total health of the person. Additionally, D.O.s
are also taught osteopathic manipulation.
This training allows Dr. Dyer to restore optimum
positioning of the body to assure that the individual
receives the needed blood flow, oxygen supply, nutritional
support and nerve conduction to allow the body to
function at its highest potential and heal itself.
